Does letting my puppy sleep a lot during the day affect how much he’ll sleep at night?

He’s 9 weeks old and has been pretty much been sleeping most of the day. I’m fine with it since I don’t have to keep watching him then but I’m worried that him sleeping a lot during the day means I’ll have to keep tending to him at night because he won’t be able to sleep. If that’s the case, should I limit his naps?

mine did the same when he was small…I tried to keep him busy during the day (dog parks) otherwise he would keep us up all night…
but sometimes I thought he was just like a baby and slept all day…especiually when he was 8-10 weeks old :-)

Not at all – at 9 weeks he’s still very much a baby so he will probably sleep during the day and during the night. I wouldnt be too concerned here.

well we try to tire ours out during the day so he’ll sleep at night.
but puppies are just always tired.
so i dont think it should affect him.

puppies need a lot of sleep. They could sleep all day, and then sleep all night too. Just make sure you run him around a lot right before you go to bed and you should be fine.

    Good luck!
